The Raven Trekker will be returning in 2020 with an all new 39mm case design. More details will be posted on this page as we progress through the design and prototype stages.
The new Trekker will feature a 39mm case design at the bezel. The dial and crystal will be the same size as the previous Trekker, it will be the case and bezel that are reduced by 1mm. The lug to lug will be 47mm and the overall thickness will be 13mm including the 2mm box sapphire crystal.
The Trekker will feature new case architecture with an undercut bevel to the case, slightly changing the Trekker shape and allowing the watch to rock on the wrist with movement.
300 meters of water resistance in a 316L stainless steel case. The movement will be the Miyota 9000 series, both date and no date movements will be used.
There will be two dial design options for the Trekker. The first is the traditional Trekker dial with printed Super Lumi-Nova (BGW-9 X1) . It will be glossy finish and available in black with yellow accents or blue with yellow accents and will not have a date window. The second dial option will be in the style of the Deep Tech with raise hour indices and a date at 6:00. These are the colors we are producing for the prototypes. All of these dials may or may not make it to final production.
Two options for the Trekker bezel insert will include a gloss black ceramic or a brushed stainless steel. The black bezel will be fully lumed with BGW9 X1, and the steel bezel will be lumed at the 12:00 pip and matte black in the engraved marks. The bezel inserts are permanently installed when you purchase, and are not interchangeable.
The original Trekker featured a jubilee style bracelet. This time we will make a few improvements to that original design including flatter links for a lower profile and less reflection, a taper from 20mm to 16mm, a simple 16mm low profile clasp, and end links that do not protrude from the tips of the lugs.
UPDATE: April 15, 2020 - Our next step is to print a 3D model of the new case, while the factory is working on the prototypes. We will post photos of the printed case when that is ready, then the prototypes when they arrive in a few months.
Printing the Trekker in 3D allows us to get a good idea of the overall size and proportions of the case, lug to lug, crystal, bezel, crown, and how the different parts look and feel as one piece. Next we will have prototypes completed in June.
