CUSTOM DEPARTMENT

At Raven Watches, I pride myself on offering a bespoke watchmaking experience. The Custom Department allows you to create a watch tailored to your preferences while maintaining the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that Raven is known for.

Handcrafted in Kansas City

Creating your custom watch is a detailed process that typically takes 3 to 4 weeks. Once your custom selections are made, I personally oversee the ordering of all necessary parts. Each component is carefully sourced and shipped to my Kansas City office, where your watch is meticulously assembled by hand. I ensure every component is perfectly integrated, and each movement is regulated in-house to guarantee optimal performance and accuracy.

The Raven Difference

As the owner of Raven Watches, I take pride in overseeing every step of the customization process myself. Each custom watch undergoes rigorous testing and inspection to ensure it meets my high standards before it leaves my hands. My commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything I do.

FAQ

Can I get a different dial, a different color, or add my own design to the dial?
We currently offer three dial options:
1.) A black gloss dial with raised indices that can be used for a three-hand watch or modified for a GMT.

2.) Two GMT dials with numbers on the dial, allowing for a dive bezel or a second GMT bezel to track two time zones. These dials are available in blue gloss and black gloss.

We cannot create completely custom dials, add logos, names, or make one-off modifications. The factory requires a minimum order of 50 dials per design. However, we can source other dials from external suppliers if available.
Can you modify a Trekker or an Endeavour, or build a custom watch to look like one?
No, the Trekker and Endeavour are production watches made in batches of 300 at a time. Every part, from the dial size to the movement inside, was specifically designed for those models only. The custom department uses Seiko NH movements and standardized case, dial, bezel, and hand components designed for the Seiko modding world, allowing for interchangeability.

The Trekker, Endeavour, or any other production watch we have made is its own unique design. The dial size, hand length, bezel dimensions, and crystal are all different and not compatible with our custom builds.
Can you use the Miyota GMT movement with the custom watches?
No, the Miyota movement is a different size, with different pinion sizes for the hands, a different diameter and thickness, and a stem in a different position compared to the Seiko NH movements. Because of these differences, you cannot swap an NH movement for a Miyota, ETA, Quartz, or any other movement. Our custom department exclusively works with NH34, NH35, NH36, and NH38 movements.
Can you use the Nodex clasp on the bracelet?
No, the Nodex clasp is part of our production watches like the Trekker and Endeavour. It is integrated into the links and cannot be used on the custom department bracelet. It is not physically possible to install the Nodex clasp on a custom build.
Can a Trekker bracelet fit on a custom, or any other watch like the Airfield or Solitude?
No, the production watches are designed from the ground up. The curves of the case, the curves of the end link, and the hole for the spring bar through the end link and where it meets the watch lugs all have to be designed and manufactured to fit. Because of these precise design differences, a Trekker bracelet will not fit a custom build or other models like the Airfield or Solitude.
What custom options are available?
It is good to have some ideas in your mind about the look you are wanting to achieve, but I have paired together and showcased watches that I think look good on this webpage to demonstrate what is possible. If you would like to look through catalogs of hands and bezels, please contact me and I can send you some links to places that I source parts from.
